Calix is seeking a Proofreader, CoE Documentation & Enablement Specialist to join our team. The CoE Documentation & Enablement Specialist is a process-focused individual who captures and creates documentation throughout our projects. The candidate must pay attention to detail, be creative, work with cross-functional teams, and be solutions-focused. Responsibilities and Duties:

• Reviews, proofreads, and edit documents for grammatical, spelling, punctuation, and formatting errors.
• Ensures content clarity by suggesting improvements in sentence structure, word choice, and overall flow of content.
• Proofreads a variety of content types, from posts to technical documents, ensuring they meet the highest quality standards.
• Organizes, tracks, and manages versions of proofread materials, ensuring the latest versions are always at the forefront.
• Works closely with documentation writers and stakeholders to clarify document content and integrate feedback and revisions efficiently.
• Provides feedback and suggestions to improve document quality and readability.
• Provides regular updates and feedback to documentation writers and stakeholders on documentation status.
• Stays updated with industry-specific terminologies and suggests improvements.
• Assists in training sessions for writers, emphasizing the benefits of proofreading techniques.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, or a related field.
• An impeccable command of the English language.
• 3+years’ experience in proofreading or editing written content.
• Knowledge of standard proofreading practices, procedures, and concepts.
• Experience in Agile methodologies.
• Jira and Confluence tool experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
• Initiative-taking and self-motivated.
• Open-minded and receptive to feedback with a continuous learning attitude.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work both independently and within a team.
